El lunes al mediodia un pescador croata fue atacado y herido por un tiburón en la Isla de Vis, Croacia. Los servicios de emergencia fueron avisados 10 minutos después de ocurrido el ataque por los compañeros del pescasub, de 43 años, que fue mordido en la parte inferior de una pierna. El ataque se produjo a 10 metros de la orilla por un tiburón de unos 4 metros de largo. El pescador se encuentra estable tras haber perdido mucha sangre por las heridas. Este es un suceso inusual en Croacia.
Diver attacked by shark
A Slovenian diver was attacked and severely injured by shark at midday Monday in Smokvina bay on the Island of Vis.
The emergency services were alarmed ten minutes after the attack by the divers colleagues.
The shark bit the 43-year-old Slovenian on the lower leg.
According to the divers, they were only 10 metres from the coast when a four metre long shark attacked them.
The shark was probably attracted by the blood of the fish hunted by the divers.
The injured Slovenian was immediately transported by helicopter to the Split hospital.
According to the doctors he ended with a severe injury to the rear of his right lower leg and lost lots of blood, but his condition is stable.
Shark attacks are unusual in the Adriatic Sea.
